100 Facts about Me......maybe ;-)

I saw this on YouTube by one of my favorite vloggers/bloggers Teresa and her YouTube channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/ChaChaCakes

So here is my attempt at what she did
Let's see how far I can go:-)

1. My name is Mystie
2. I'm from Georgia
3. But I now live in North Carolina
4. I spell my name different than most people named Misty.
5. The reason is there was this actress named Misty Rowe on tv who was a ditz(she makes/made Paris Hilton look like a Rhodes Scholar let's put it that way) around the time i was born(yeah figure it out lol) and mom didn't want anyone to think I was named after her so she changed the spelling.
6. I hate the spelling!! Lol
7. My favorite color is purple( if you can't tell already)
8. I have one dog who will come after you if you try to hurt me or my mother, but is normally a laid back go with the flow kind of dog lol.
9. I hated math in school.
10. I love computer games
11. Love The Sims 2 the sims 3 is too complicated for me right now
12. I've never been out of the country, but I've always wanted to go to Spain.
13. That's one of the reasons why I'm trying to learn Spanish just in case thanks to Rosetta Stone :-)
14. My favorite genres of music are country and pop. Although these days it's hard to tell the difference.
15. My favorite music artist of all time are Wynonna Judd, New Kids In The Block, George Strait, George Jones, Tiffany, Martina McBride and Backstreet Boys
15. Didn't go to my first concert til I was 14 years old
16. My favorite "can't miss a single episode" tv shows are Mike and Molly, 2 Broke Girls and Dancing with The Stars.
17. My favorite holiday is Christmas
18. My favorite nail polishes are Nicole by OPI, OPI, China Glaze, and Julep
19. I love Food Network
20. My favorite on Food Network is Paula Deen.
21. I've met her and her boys...yes her boys are even better lookin' in person LOL especially Bobby:-)
22. She was really nice too!;-)
23. I collect cookbooks but I'm not a good cook.....yet but I'm going to try.
24. I also collect thimbles.
25. I don't know how many cookbooks I have exactly but I do have at least 40 thimbles
26. I used to collect mini tea sets but I think that stopped when I moved up here.
27. The most unique tea set I have is a 1950's soda shop motif, the shop itself is the tea pot, the cups are sodas(I think) and the ketchup bottle is the creamer. It's really cute.
28. I also collect Beanie Babies although that has slowed since I moved cause I don't have much room here for it.
29. My first Beanie was Wise the Owl I got for my high school graduation from one of my aunts. -----I totally just gave away my age if anyone is a Beanie aficionado like myself.
30. The first one I bought was Princess the one named for Princess Diana. The proceeds going to Elton John's AIDS Foundation.
31. I have a probably unhealthy obsession with the Royal family. LOL
32. The only Royals I don't care for are Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall(the Rotweiller as Princess Diana called her LOL)
33. I can't wait for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new baby next year! I just wish Diana was around to see it too:-(
34. I loved the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. I have some of the songs downloaded on my IPhone.
35. My favorite was the Spice Girls performance.

I can't think of anymore. So I couldn't quiet get to 100 but you get what I'm about I think.

See ya in the New Year guys!! Thanks so much for reading and I hope I entertain you/ give you ideas in the new year!

SnowFlake Mani

I thought I'd do one more Christmas mani before the new year. I'll be doing a New Years mani later.

Here is the colors I used are Julep's Sharon and LA Color's White

I know you can't see that it's a snowflake but I tried lol I was a little heavy handed with the white. I need to get better with that. LOL Maybe I'll make that my New Years Resolution LOL:-D

Happy New Year!!

Lacquerhead Polish Review 1/Christmas nails

I thought with this Christmas nail art I'd kill two birds with one stone and do a review too!

The polish is from

The polish I'm reviewing today is called "Just be Claus" from the etsy shop owner's collection Christmas 2012 collection.

The owner's name is Alischia Taylor and here is the link to her shop. I have bought several of her polishes(and will review them all at a later time) Lacquerhead Polish shop on Etsy

I was having a Christmas party and was stuck on what nail art I wanted to do. I remembered I bought this polish a few weeks ago. So I tried it. To get a complete coverage I had to apply atleast 2 coats. It could serve as a cover over a solid color because of the glitters she has in it. But it is white based but I think any color can show through the white if you just put a thin coat of this on.

This really looks great on nails and I don't know how great this will look picture wise on my nails

I really think this looks better in person. The glitters really are cute.

When taking it off I've been advised to use the foil method(cotton ball soaked in remover and cover in foil and wait a few minutes and take it off and it should all come off).

I really hope you give her polishes a try and she is a really sweet lady to do business with.

I will be doing another Christmas nail art blog tomorrow. So see ya tomorrow!!

A Christmas break from the normal

I thought I,d take a little break and post something Christmasy but not nail art related.

I had a party today and I'd like to share a recipe or two with you. Don't worry I will get back to nail art(I even have a couple Christmas ones lined up already) within the next day or so.

Pretzel Rolo Bites

A bag of Rolos( either the regular ones or the minis work. Although personally I,d get the minis cause they don't have the wrappers on em and it's sync tedious work to get those wrappers off)

As many pretzels as there are Rolos the square kind.

Pecans ---same as pretzels

What you do is take a square pretzel and put a Rolo in top of each one. Once you get them all done put it in the oven @ 300 degrees for 3 minutes or until Rolos are slightly melted. Then take them out and put the pecans on top. Then you go it! I barely have any of these left so they might be a hit at your next gathering too!!

Garbage Bag Candy

I swear this is better than it sounds haha:-)

Ingredients

Chex cereal(doesn't matter what kind but I end up useing corn)

16 oz jar of peanuts

Box of raisins(not the pack of little one otherwise you'd be there all day getting enough to make a batch)

Milk chocolate chips

Powdered sugar

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 stick of butter

2 garbage bags( you do NOT want to use just one.....trust me)

* optional: pretzels, marshmallows personally I prefer marshmallows but you can put in really anything you think would be good with Chex, powdered sugar, chocolate, peanuts, and raisins.

You take the chocolate chips , butter and peanut butter and melt it over medium heat. After that's done you take the garbage bags one inside the other and pour in the cereal, raisins, peanuts and any optional ingredient. Then close and hold it with one hand and shake it with the other to get everything mixed together. Then pour the chocolate mixture. Then shake it til it's coated as much as possible. Then pour in atleast half a bag of powdered sugar, maybe more, maybe less. It's up to you. Once they are coated with that they are ready to eat or bag up to give as gifts. If you taste this you may end up making a second batch like I do. LOL, one for me and one for others.

I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do. If you have any questions comment below or hit me up on Facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/nailingitbymystie

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!
